Trackman iO Home

Trackman iO is Trackman’s launch monitor built for indoor golf. It mounts on the ceiling in front of the tee, combines radar, infrared and high-speed imaging, and needs no markers on the club or the ball. The Home edition is the starting point: every ball measurement Trackman makes, club speed, around 70 courses and Trackman’s games and practice modes.

What you get

• Ball data: ball speed, launch angle, launch direction, spin rate, spin axis, height, curve, landing angle, hang time, carry, side, total, side total and smash factor, including measured 3D spin.
• Club data: club speed.
• Courses: around 70 in Trackman Virtual Golf.
• Games: Closest to the Pin, Party Putt, Magic Pond and Bullseye.
• Practice: Range, Performance Center, Map My Bag, Target Practice and On-Course Practice, with club delivery visuals and overhead impact video.
• Play online: Trackman tournaments and online rounds with other Trackman users.

Upgrade later

iO Home can be upgraded to iO Home Complete at any time for about $9,600. That unlocks full club data, the full course library and Trackman’s analysis tools; the software subscription then moves to about $1,300 per year.

Room and installation

• Ceiling mounted about 3 ft in front of the tee. Trackman requires a ceiling of at least 9 ft 4 in and recommends mounting the unit 9 ft 8 in above the hitting surface.
• Recommended room: 15 ft wide, 18 ft deep, 10 ft ceiling. Screen at least 8 ft 2 in from the ball, 10 ft recommended.
• Built-in infrared lighting, so no extra lights are needed.
• Connects to a Windows PC by Ethernet. A PC is not included; see our simulator computers.

Subscription and maintenance

• Software subscription: about $800 per year. Required to use Trackman Performance Studio and Virtual Golf; the first year is included with a new unit.
• Hardware maintenance plan (optional): about $1,300 per year after the first year. Covers repairs with priority service, a loaner unit while yours is being repaired, and shipping. Without it, out-of-warranty repairs are charged per job.

Trackman bills subscriptions, maintenance plans and upgrades in US dollars. The Canadian figures here are approximate conversions at the time of writing; the amount charged at renewal follows the exchange rate on that day.
